At First United Methodist Church of Bangor (aka "Bangor First") we try to be concerned about things that matter - not your age, race, ethnicity, marital status, physical ability, financial condition, your clothing, your past, or anything else that might make you feel “different”. What matters to us is that you hunger for abundant life in Christ. We welcome you as you are, because we ourselves have experienced the welcome of God’s inclusive love.

Through worship, study, spiritual formation, and fellowship we seek to provide a nurturing environment for personal Christian growth, equipping us to minister in Jesus' name to those in need, and empowering us to work for justice and peace in the world.
