NEWSLETTER DEADLINE
The deadline for the November newsletter is November 17, 2025. Weekly Services We are holding in-person worship in our sanctuary on Sundays. You are also welcome to join us each Sunday online by logging into this website and clicking on the F underneath the What We Believe box. . ALL CHURCH CHRISTMAS FAIR Our annual Christmas Fair will take place on Saturday, November 1 from 9 am until 2 pm. There will be: gift baskets, baked goods, cheese, dish cloths, handmade soap, jewelry, jelly and relishes, homemade candy, craft items, Christmas crafts, and white elephant items .Lunch will be served from 11-1:30. There is something for everyone so come and bring your friends and family and do some early Christmas shopping! (And pick up your Thanksgiving pies as well.) Youth Group Our youth ministry leader Karen Schermerhorn will meet with our youth following worship on Sunday, November 9 and 23 following worship. Weekly Devotions Pastor Steve Smith sends out weekly devotions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday via email. If you would like to be on the list to receive these devotions please give the office a call (945-9567) and leave a message for Pastor Steve. Bible / book study groups meet on Tuesdays at 1 pm in the church family room and also on Tuesday evenings at 7 via Zoom These groups do studies throughout the year. There is also a study group that meets at 8:30 on Sunday mornings via Zoom. Let us know if you would like to participate Thursday evenings or Sunday mornings so we can get a Zoom invite out to you. A new Advent study begins on November 19. Men's Group Our Men's group meets at 7 am on the first Saturday of each month through June. If you would like more information contact the church office at 945-9567. The next breakfast will be November 1 at 7 am at Dysart's on Broadway. CHURCH SCHOOL (Christian Ed for Children & Youth) We offer Christian Education for Kindergarten - Middle School from September through June. . United Women in Faith The United Women in Faith meets on Saturdays through June. The next meeting will be November 15 at 10 am here at the church.. Piburn Circle This branch of UWF meets on the third Thursday of the month at 1 pm September through May. Their next meeting will be November 20. FIBER ARTS FELLOWSHIP We have a group of folks who get together weekly throughout the year to knit, crochet or do other craft projects on Tuesdays beginning at 9. The group also works on different special projects during the year such as: prayer shawls, wheel chair/walker caddies for nursing homes, and lap robes. They have a great time keeping their fingers and needles busy. If you would like to join just come to the church family room on Tuesday morning and join the group! They would love to have you! TAKE OUT BEAN SUPPER: Our next bean supper will be Saturday, March 28 from 4-6. Drive up the front drive and order your take out meal. Church Library There is lots of room to browse the great selection of books in our library. We have books on faith-building on our United Women in Faith bookshelf, and we have new and featured books available on our regular shelves on a wide variety of topics. We also have selections for children and youth. We also have large print items including The Upper Room. A magnifier is also available for check out. Community Meal Our Community meal is providing a free hot meal each Thursday from 4-6 pm. Drive up and have a delicious meal delivered to your car. FOOD CUPBOARD Any non-perishable food donations are welcome! Items for the Ecumenical Food Cupboard can be dropped off at the church on Thursdays between 10 and 1:00 and will be delivered to the Food Cupboard. There are also envelopes on the narthex shopping cart for donations. Our church office is open Monday and Tuesday from 7:30-11:30, and Wednesday and Thursday from 7:30-11 If you have a need assistance when the office is not open, please leave a message on the church answering machine 945-9567 and choose option 1 for the main office or send an email to: [email protected] In case of emergency contact Pastor Steve directly at 866-2144.
