Whether you are in plenty or in want, money has a direct connection to your values, your faith, and the health of your relationships. It’s no wonder that in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus presented a radical message about our “treasure” and our hearts.
On Sunday, October 9 we'll begin a 4-week sermon series based on Jacob Armstrong's Treasure, which will serve as this year's stewardship program.
A companion book of daily devotional readings will be available in the sanctuary lobby, and each Sunday following worship there will be an opportunity to gather for a 30-minute discussion and DVD session. On Sunday, October 30 we'll be invited to commit a portion of our treasure - and our heart! - to God through First United Methodist Church.
Please plan to join us as we reflect on Treasure.
October 9: "Where Is Your Treasure?" (Matthew 6:19-23)
October 16: "The Problem with Two Masters" (Matthew 6:24)
October 23: "Giving Your Treasure Back to God" (Matthew 6:1-6)
October 30: "Don’t Worry ‘Bout a Thing" (Matthew 6:25-35)
