Wednesday Coffee and Conversation
"The Anatomy of Peace"
Wednesdays at 2:00 at the Broadway Tim Horton’s
Begins April 11
What if conflicts at home, conflicts at work, and conflicts in the world stem from the same root cause?
What if we systematically misunderstand that cause?
And what if, as a result, we systematically perpetuate the very problems we think we are trying to solve?
The premise of this book is simple: people whose hearts are at peace do not wage war, whether they're heads of state or members of a family. In this semi-fictional narrative, the setting is a two-day parent workshop at an Arizona-based wilderness camp for out-of-control teenagers. But the storyline is merely the backdrop for an instruction manual on the principles of achieving peace.
Books can be purchased through Amazon and other book sellers, and are also available in Kindle and audiobook format. A limited number of print copies are available in the church office. Please read the first two chapters for the April 11 session.
The Anatomy of Peace is recommended by The Commission on the Way Forward and Bishop Devadhar.
