Rev. Dr. Randall Chretien
(Senior Pastor)
I was born in Rumford, Maine. It was twenty-three miles from my home town of Bethel and the closest town with a hospital. I graduated from Gould Academy where I played football, baseball, basketball, and when necessary studied. I received a B.S. in the social sciences from the U. of M. in Orono, and a M. Div. and a D. Min. from Bangor Theological Seminary. Carolyn and I have been married for 41 years and have two grown sons and 4 grandchildren.

I have served as Senior Pastor at First United Methodist Church here in Bangor for about 33% of my adult life.  My passion is preaching and talking one on one with  the members and visitors of First UMC. My responsibilities are pretty much the same as and other United Methodist Pastors and range from leading worship to resourcing committees and ministries. Rev. Jeffrey Fister, DMD, Ordained Deacon
Jeff is an ordained deacon within the United Methodist Church. As a graduate of Gettysburg College, the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, and the Bangor Theological Seminary, Jeff practices and has his primary appointment to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Bangor; his secondary appointment is to First Church. 

 As a deacon, Jeff is appointed to service as a healthcare provider. Through his appointment to word, service and the sacrament of Holy Communion within First Church, Jeff is also called secondarily to connect the congregation and the community to service. As a result, Jeff assists in and conducts worship for the congregation.

Chuck Langbein
(Associate Pastor)
Chuck has been married for 30 years to Valerie and has a 13 year old son named Gresley. I was born in Rural Pennsylvania and attended school in Illinois, where I met my wife.

My passion is for under age 50 ministries. I am passionate about fishing, hunting, outdoor camping, fly tying and archery. I enjoy all sports.

I have pastoral responsibilities for youth ministry, family ministry and small group ministries. I would rather be out of the building than in it. 
 

Jeff & Jill Churchill
(Lay Leaders)

Jill grew up in Waterville and has lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida before returning to Maine. She is an elementary and middle school guidance counselor.   Jeff lived the first half of his life in Long Island before moving to Maine. He is an air traffic controller. Jill and Jeff have six sons and two grandchildren. Both are certified lay speakers. In addition to serving on several committees, both Jeff and Jill are part of the Hallelujah Ringers.    

Reeni Cipullo
(Parish Administrator)
 I was born in Stoughton, Mass. I moved to Maine with my family in 2005. I have a wonderful husband and 2 beautiful children. I am currently going through the Candidacy program to become a Licensed Local Pastor for the United Methodist Church.

John Mallery Haskell
(Choir Director/Organist)
I am a musician (pianist / organist) who has a satisfying job of providing people with music to suit their needs. The post here at FUMC is one of 5 jobs related to playing the keyboard. I have a wife (Joyce) and 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren.

My responsibilities at FUMC are to prepare the Fellowship Choir for Sunday services, and provide service music for the traditional service. I organize the music for Spirit Weekend in September, also Christmas Eve service, Maundy Thursday service and other musical needs that might come up. I can be reached at home 207-974-2019 or on the road at 207-469-8082
 

 
 
Barbara Fister RN MA

 She was born and raised in New Jersey, a graduate in nursing from Memorial Hospital-Roxborough in Philadelphia and the University of Maine. Barbara is married for 37 years to Jeffrey S. Fister D.M.D. and they have one child and a grandchild. Contact info: myfriendsplace@myfairpoint.net
